FAQ

Why are your prices so much lower than most others I’ve found?

I deal only with drives that have lost data due to Logical Failure, where data has been corrupted or lost on a disk with minor or no physical problems. This can be caused by operating system failure, virus infection, unintentional formatting of drive, or accidental deletion of files.  If the BIOS can still recognize the hard drive is connected, there is a good chance for recovery.

The higher-priced companies often have additional cleanroom facilities for dealing with physically damaged drives that require them to open the drive to repair the drive.  These drives typically have a ticking sound when they try to run.  If I am unable to access the drive to perform a logical recovery I can refer you to such a company in Vancouver that can deal with physically damaged drives.

Will I be charged if you can’t recover my data?

No, if I can’t recover any data you won’t be charged at all.

What type of failures can you recover data from?

Operating system failure, virus infection, unintentional formatting of drive, or accidental deletion of files.  If the BIOS can still recognize the hard drive is connected, there is a good chance for recovery.

Are you able to recover data from Windows and Mac Drives?

Yes, I can recover data from PC, Mac or Linux drives.

How is my data returned to me?

You have the choice of providing a drive to copy your data or you can buy one from me, just ask me about current pricing.
